Information:
Momo Kadous was born in El Mahalla, Nile Delta, near the center
of the Ghawazee "Sumbat" where he studied dance, drama,
choreography, tabla and regie since his early youth. As choreographer
of the national folklore group " El Mahalla Lel Fenoun
El Shabeyah" he experienced great success during his performances
in Egyptian theaters and throughout many Arabian Countries.
In addition, Momo Kadous is an experienced actor and dancer
and has worked in various cinema and televisions productions
in his native country.
Women from
in and around Germany regularly attend his various dance projects
in order to learn from his immense knowledge, repertoire of
different dance styles and his unique style of interpreting
Oriental music. Momo Kadous is known and respected as an institution
of art not
only in European and Arab countries
but worldwide. He is guaranteed to offer the most authentic,
modern and creative presentation of Oriental dance art form.
In the early 80's he founded his own dance theater group "Wadi
Nil" and further developed his own unique style. Then in
1986, after a tour throughout Tunisia, he went to Frankfurt,
Germany and joined the famous Studio Arabeska El Main. During
this time he created many of the most wonderful and exciting
dances for the well-known Araveska Dance Theater and performed
at the premier at the traditional O.T.F.E. Festivals in Frankfurt
(see our videos). From here he went on to become a star choreographer,
admired dancer and excellent teacher, not only on the German
Oriental dance scene, but around the world. Momo took over the operations of the Studio El Karnak in
Aachen, Germany in
1991, while he had intensified his engagement with
Arabeska. In 1995, he not only became the artistic director
of Studio Arabeska but the owner as well, a true follower of
the famous Dietlinde Bedauia Karkutli.
In 1997, the dance community was treated to one of the highlights
of his artistic inspiration "ZARO, A Drama on Love and
Possessedness". This extraordinary Oriental dance theatre
production involved 21 dancers using different styles including
modern, Oriental and ballet. "ZARO" premiered at the
Art Oriental ’97 Festival in Frankfurt and was performed
throughout Germany during 1998. The success of “ZARO”
is regarded worldwide as a real breakthrough in dance theatre
and an inspiration for art into the 21st century!
